We are accessible travel hunters! Together with your help, we’re revolutionising your accessible travel planning!

So, to the explorers, the seekers and the adventurers, the wheelchair travellers and their families who want to squeeze the most out of every moment and see what our wonderful state of South Australia has to offer, WELCOME!

We make accessible travel a stress free adventure! We aim to be Australia’s largest and most trusted online accessible travel directory helping users plan their next adventure from end to end with confidence and ease. We take the guesswork, worry and hesitation out of accessible travel planning by providing all the detailed information a wheelchair traveller and their travel companions will ever need.

JUST A NOTE… we are just getting started after launching in January 2018, focusing initially on South Australia. The information we have gathered is largely from our own experiences. We can’t grow this site without you, we can’t know everything, we can’t assume to know exactly what benefits people of all abilities. This is just a start and with your help contributing to listings and providing us with information around your experiences, plus more adventures and continual research across the industry, lets build the absolute best resource we can and evolve this site into something awesome!

Our story

The Good Scout Travel Co. was founded in 2017 by wheelchair user Scott Crowley, and his able bodied wife, business and travel partner, Clair. Born out of a desire to normalise disability travel and to further promote accessible travel options to the wheelchair traveller community, the couple also saw a huge gap in the market for accurate accessible travel information.

Scott and Clair, along with their two young children, are seasoned travellers, but the lack of trustworthy information and truly accessible travel options available to wheelchair travellers and their families has been an ongoing source of frustration…until now!

As a wheelchair user for the past 15 years, Scott has travelled extensively within Australia and around the world. He is also an elite wheelchair athlete currently training for a potential place in the 2018 Olympics. Scott and Clair have an intimate understanding of the barriers and roadblocks to wheelchair travelling and they talk to many other individuals who face similar barriers. They know the same issues arise time and time again amongst the wheelchair community but The Good Scout Travel Co. is on a mission to change that!
