Helivista has bases in the McLaren Vale Wine region in the Fleurieu Peninsula and at Rawnsley Park Station in the Flinders Ranges.
Both areas provide beautiful locations for helicopter flights offering a different perspective of these stunning areas from the air.
McLaren Vale: Approximately 35 km south of Adelaide, McLaren Vale is nestled between the Willunga foothills and the pristine waters of the Gulf St Vincent offering an abundance of stunning scenery. McLaren Vale is host to more than 80 cellar doors with the region’s wines winning many awards and major trophies at the most prestigious wine shows in the world. There is the opportunity to plan your flight with a drop into cellar doors, enjoy lunch at one of the regions award winning restaurants or perhaps have a picnic on a private beach. We have a variety of flight and tour options available in the McLaren Vale area.
Flinders Ranges: Approximately 500 km north of Adelaide, or a five hour road trip, the rugged, weathered peaks and rocky gorges of the Flinders Ranges in Outback South Australia form some of the most dramatic and beautiful landscapes in the country. It’s a place rich in Aboriginal history and home to a vast array of wildlife. Overlooking the southern side of Wilpena Pound, our base at Rawnsley Park Station provides the perfect spot for exploring South Australia’s beautiful Flinders Ranges by helicopter. This magnificent natural basin in the Flinders Ranges has some of the best experiences in the country and of course you can access some areas by helicopter that are impossible to access by foot or 4WD.
